Welcome to Healing Dao
In creating this healing space, I acknowledge that we come from various backgrounds, holding various forms of memories, concepts, and belief systems. I acknowledge the sovereignty of everyone in the choices that each of us make in finding the most suitable life we know how.
It is my hope that we see ourselves and others through the heart-mind eyes of impartial kindness and curiousity. This is what Nature teaches me. I feel our strength comes from our gentleness, and our gentleness is power, just like Nature.
Nature is us, we are Nature
Qigong, Dao Yoga, Taichi (Taijiquan), and Oriental medicine are based and rooted in the philosophy that perceives the place of humankind in between the cosmos (Sky) and the Earth.
Like many traditional and ancient worldviews, Dao/ Taiji philosophy is inward-looking yet deeply interwoven with the external phenomena that it seeks to understand.
It is based on the fractal patterns in Nature, how we are a part of these patterns and how we affect each other.
It recognises that harmony and balance involve active adjustments within the constant flux of changes.
When we understand the phenomenal patterns and how our body-mind-spirit respond to these patterns, our lives are nourished.
Qigong, Dao Yoga, Taichi, and Oriental medicine are our study and effort to understand these patterns and sync our lives with their rhythm.
Qigong, Dao Yoga, Taichi, and Oriental medicine are tools to support our lives on Earth to be more enjoyable, peaceful, and aware of our place in the cosmos in meaningful ways; to feel connected to Life and the Life-giving energies around us.
Dao Yoga (Dao Yin) is an ancient Chinese form of exercise involving breathing and stretching led by heart-mind intention; working on massaging the internal organs and harmonising the energy channels.
Qi Gong can be translated as energy work or cultivation. In Qi Gong the internal awareness is guided in specific manner to harmonise within ourselves and with the world outside (environment and nature).
Acupuncture is a form of body therapy using various tools, both non-penetrating and penetrating the skin. Most people know only one type of needle, the filiform needle as thin as a strand of hair. Chrys is trained in various tools of acupuncture to treat the meridian channels. For people who are not keen on conventional acupuncture, Chrys would be delighted to offer the options of gentle treatment suitable for sensitive patients and children.
Moxa/ moxibustion is a form of body therapy using medicinal grade aged mugwort (Artemisia argyi or A. japonica) from Japan. The warmth of the burning mugwort/ moxa on specific meridian channel or points send specific signal/ information to the body to initiate self-healing process.
Chrys looks forward to supporting you if you have any of these issues:

“There was something formless and perfect before the Universe was born. It is serene. Empty. Solitary. Unchanging. Infinite. Eternally present. IT IS THE MOTHER OF THE UNIVERSE. For a lack of a better name, I call it Dao. It flows through all things, inside and outside, and returns to the origin of all things.
The Dao is great. The Universe is great. Earth is Great. Humankind is great. These are the four great talents. Humankind follows the Earth. Earth follows the Universe. Universe follows the Dao. Dao only follows itself.”
Dao De Jing, verse 25
